Sharon's Diner is a very nice little diner in northern Fort Wayne, Indiana. The food is adequate for a standard diner these days. Nothing special here. Omelets are decent sized with big chunks of real ham. It also has good tasting cheese. Now, I know you might be thinking, "Dude, it's cheese." One of my pet peeves with restaurants though, is that they don't use quality ingredients. Cheese that has no taste, or worse, tastes like plastic will ruin any meal.

Another of my pet peeves is they cut the toast. Again, you might be thinking that it's only toast. No big deal right? Well, my philosophy is if I want it cut, I'll cut it. I want to be able to put jelly on my toast in one fell swoop. I don't want to have to divide my jelly up between four pieces of toast. It's not the end of the world, I know.

Hash browns are tasty. Shredded potatoes with a buttery flavor. Needs a little salt and pepper, but nothing I can't handle on my own. I'd rather add how ever much I want rather than have too much salt and become dehydrated for the rest of the day.

Eggs over easy is another story. Needs a little work. Eggs were a little too runny. The whites should be hard and the yolk runny. Not everything runny. A little disgusting in my opinion.

Sausage links are the standard type you'd expect.

The atmosphere of Sharon's is nice. It is a balance of the cliche 50's cafe with big posters of essential 1950s icons such as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean. A modern edition are the TVs dotting the place. Comfortable seating and an outdoor patio add to the general aesthetics. However, even though Fort Wayne is a non-smoking city, you are allowed to smoke outside.
